And we're (almost) off!

Preparations are made, but bags have yet to be packed, probably a physical manifestation of my mind trying to mentally prepare and comprehend that in a couple days time we'll be on the other side of the planet. It doesn't quite compute; I'm simultaneously perplexed and grateful for this opportunity.

These last 18 months have been quite a journey filled with challenges and triumphs, heartbreaks and joys, forgiveness and understanding. I'm excited for what the future holds, but there's always that little voice telling me the other shoe is going to drop, don't take any of it for granted, be present. It can all be swallowed up at the whim of an uncaring, unbiased universe.

But I try my best to embody a number of roles - supportive partner, empathetic leader, loyal friend, caring brother, loving son, forgiving stranger - knowing that they all culminate into Me.

I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing Here. What started as tinkering in my free time, has led me Here - an unexpected sanctuary where I can take a moment to reflect on what was and what will be. Or maybe I'll just share pictures of my dog.
